“De Standhaftige” (former “Ballon”) just finished principal shooting in Hungary, Fyn and Copenhagen! Now awaits editing and opening at Berlin 2016.
“Ballon” Lisa Ohlin’s next film, in Denmark!
After 2 years of development, Lisa Ohlin’s next project, “Ballon” is financed and set to start shooting in June 2014. Filming will be in Hungary and Denmark.
The story is about a young double amputated soldier coming back from Afghanistan. He meets a dancer from the Royal Ballet who helps him learn how to walk again.
Denmarks giant talent Mikkel Boe Følsgaard plays the role of Thomas and Cecilie Lassen plays the role of Sofie.
The film has received funding from Danish Film Institute, the Swedish Film institute, local funding and Eurimages.
Wallander: Sorgfågeln hits the charts.
The very last episode of the Wallander series, with Krister Henriksson as the ailing detective Wallander, was released on DVD and on line on October 23rd. It immediately climbed the charts to a top one position!
Lisa Ohlin does final WALLANDER film
The very final WALLANDER film with Krister Henriksson, “The sad bird”, is directed by Lisa Ohlin. It will be released on Channel 4 in Britain spring 2013 and on DVD in Sweden by October 2013.

After successfullly playing in other parts of the world, SIMON AND THE OAKS now opens in the US. With East coast premier at the Hamptons international film festival, it will play in New York a week before opening nationwide.

Lisa Ohlin has now started rehearsals of the Pulizer prize winning, Tony awarded musical NEXT TO NORMAL, for Stockholms Stadsteater, starring the singer Lisa Nillson. Opening will be on September 21. Link here

SIMON AND THE OAKS wins Grand prize at Gothenburg Int’l Film festival
Last night, the audience voted “SIMON AND THE OAKS” as best film of 2011, giving it the Gothenburg Grand Film Prize and 50 000 kronor to the director, Lisa Ohlin.
